RS4 Newbie: 2008 Suzuka Gray
Just wanted to thank you all for the valuable information on this forum. I just purchased a 2008 Suzuka Gray RS4 and look forward to many years of fun! No major mods planned but considering wheel spacers and lowering (?). Can someone point me in the right direction regarding lowering while keeping the stock dampers? I thought I was told that there is a company that makes a lowering kit that retains the original suspension etc.?
Thanks\0260

Welcome to the forum and congrats on purchasing a very rare colour combination of an already rare car.
With regard to your suspension question, most people would recommend going the aftermarket coilover option if looking to lower the car. This is for a few reasons:
* the standard DRC system is prone to failure
* labour costs associated with fitting suspension components to the RS4 given the pressurised DRC system
* the spring and shock combo will not be 'matched' which can introduce issues
IMO you're best doing it properly the first time - more than likely work out cheaper in the end too.

Congrats on your RS4!!! On the note of DRC, mine just crapped out after 1 year on the latest revision. I'm going aftermarket now, just purchased a set of PSS9's, cost effective for me and I don't really track the vehicle.
Enjoy the ride!

Good. There was a Suzuka floating around from SLC that was in a front end accident a few years ago that had a lot of front end damage on it. I think it had black interior though.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Heres a photo of the passenger seat back ... The interior color is "Silver". More white with a gray hue. Mind blowing in person with the Suzuka Gray. Check out the headliner.
