Default RS4 - owners are you happy with the car?

thinking about moving away from Porsche (been driving turbos for awhile) and trying an RS4. What do you like about the car - what do you dislike? Any other Porsche drivers who have made the switch or added an RS4 to their "stable"?

Default Yes, but I wouldn't give up my Turbo for it.

Since you are a Porsche guy, I would equate the RS 4 to something like driving a 4 door C4S with a little extra weight and a better build quality/interior. This is a testament to the merits of the RS 4, it is a fantastic sedan.

For everyday enthusiast driving (not floating down the highway in a Lexus or Merc) and some track use here and there, I don't think you can go wrong with the RS 4. It is really the all-around package.

Default Just me but nothing pisses me off more than the GD headlight cleaners spraying the hood just after..

I detailed it. My fault but it sucks. I may have the dealer disable the sprayers. Other than that, the car is simply amazing.

Default 997TT sits. I drive the RS4. Best car I've ever had...

but I would like more power. Who wouldn't. I think the sound the car makes is a huge part of it. The 997TT sounds like rubbish to me. Hopefully an exhaust will help the 997TT sound. -Pete

Default Yes...

Its my daily driver, and I've got a Ford GT and B5 S4 for weekend fun. The GT is definitely more fun then the RS4, but not as much as you would think. Every day driving the RS4 I appreciate it more. Its pretty quick, very comfortable, great looking, and it sounds so nice.

Default Yes! My E60 M5 is much faster but it sits in the garage a lot these days...

because the RS4 is probably the most fun car I've ever had. I've never owned a p-car or any really light car with power, and I must admit that while the RS4 is capable on track, it's not entirely at home because of the weight. On the street and for daily driving duties though, this car is money! For the track, I'm formulating plans on replacing one of my piggie sedans with a light weight track ****, and it looks like the M5's days are numbered, not the RS4 which I plan on keeping a little longer.

Default Sound's huge for me as well. I've heard the TT with exhaust twice now, sounds really crappy!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but it really does. Just sounds loud. Yes it still makes me drool at the car, but it's unreal how bad it sounds with exhaust! LOL

I hope you guys make it sound good somehow.

Re: If the RS4 had turbos, I would NOT have one. I like this motor so much more than my old RS6.
