Hi guys I'm now the proud owner of 06 Black RS4 Advant which I've now had about 2 months. The car has done a genuine 52k and is in immaculate condition. However I have a few issues with car which I'm a bit unsatisfied with and wondered if anyone could help advise me .

1. On start up the car seems to kick out a bit of smoke and smells very strongly of petrol, it also runs very lumpy for the 1st 300 meters and seems quite jerky as if it's spluttering
2. I have also noticed a flat spot on acceleration or occasionally just a kick as if it's missing for a brief moment, most noticeable when a accelerating from I high gear and building up speed gradually. On acceleration sometimes between 6/7000 rpm it seems like it hits a flat spot and for a few seconds until it pushes through it the car doesn't pull smoothly .

The car has come from London and was driven for 2 years by a family so It's possible it's had little hard use and I'm hoping a good service and new plugs next week will solve the problem. Just wondered if anybody out there has suffered any similar problems?

I would say the car needs to have a carbon clean and I would run a can of BG44K in the gas tank to be sure the injectors are clean.

Are you driving it in Sport mode? If so, do not push the Sport button until the engine is fully warmed-up. At least #1 above sounds like the symptoms we get when driving this car in Sport mode when cold.
