'RS4 Raider' stops by for some Stasis SL treatment....
First I would like to thank RS4 Raider for the business and the guys at Stasis for suppling a great product.
The main goal was to keep the ride height as close to stock as possible and still notice the benefits of the Stasis setup.
Stock: 26.75f 26.5r
Stasis SL: 26.5f 26.25r
We were able to lower the vehicle 1/4 of an inch both front and rear. This weekend we will recheck the alignment and ride height specs and adjust if needed.

Re: Hmm, how bout 1" drop in front and 0.5" in back?
The vehicle was at about that height after the first adjustment... however the customer thought it was still a bit too low for his liking. He really didn't want the vehicle lowered much from the stock height. Later in the week we will see if it settled any lower.

I want to thank Ryan at ICS for the great customer service along with the TEC named George. I live in NY and headed up to ICS for a reason( 50miles away) and was not dissapointed. Before I review the STaSIS I want to say what I mean about great customer service. On my way home a get a call from Ryan making sure I was happy and everthing was OK. About 2 hours later I get a call from the TEC George asking if there any problems, issues. He stated he wanted eveything to be perfect and he is like this on all the cars he works on. George worked for Ferrari for 18 years and has all the skills and patientce I have ever seen. As for Ryan he makes you feel at home as we talked for hours he was a very good host if you will. He keeps you informed of everything going on and answers any and all questions and has a lot of knowledge regarding performance questions.
The STaSIS SL Review: AS far as ride hight I do my share of City driving and there is no reason to be a hero and keep the settings from STaSIS I chose to a little lower than stock I don't believe I am giving up too much performance and I want the car to settle and see next week where it is at. I hope it drops a quarter inch from where George set it at. So Ryan I am looking to have a final hight of Front 26.25 and rear at 26. Please remember that.
I like most read this forum and read a lot of great things about the STaSIS SL kit and was thinking it was too good to be true. Well every thing is true it is a perfect system for the street/track. The float feel is gone along with the understeer. I feel the road and the car feels LIGHTER it is like I have been running a race with ankle weights and now they are off my ankles. Ride quality is a little more harsh but not bad at all, a small trade off as I feel like I am driving a 3000 pound car instead of a 4000 pound car. My car has 5000 miles and no signs of any DSC problems as you can see in the pics. It was very hard to rip out a perfect working suspension but I am glad I did. As far if it is worth the money only the YOU can answer that question. I hope this review has helped those on the fence and I HIGHlY reccomend ICS and make sure you have George work on your car.
Ryan it was nice meeting you and I will see you Saturday.

Let's hear all opions rearding ride hight as I am going back to ICS to finalize hight. I do some City driving and I haul the family around there is no time for the track It also is foul weather here in NY from DEC-MARCH. So let me hear all the settings you guys suggest it should be set at. Thank you for your help. If anyone has any questions shoot me an Email.

At one time the Hypercoils were linear and the Eibachs progressive. Not sure if that's
the case on the SL, but that's how it is on the Street Sports. In fact that's my only complaint about the Street Sport kit. I had linear Hypercoil springs over custom valved Konis on my B5 and found the behavior of linear to be much more favorable vs. the progressive. I hate how the car initially pitches more when you enter a turn until you get down into the stiffer portion of the coil.

I had the SL's installed about 3 weeks ago and thought it was too low- I was scraping the plastic
under the car when entering my driveway so I raised it to just a little lower than stock and drove it for a few days and then decided I liked it better lower so lowered it again to a little above the installed height. One thing I've noticed, I get more comments and compliments on the car with it lowered. It definitely looks more aggressive lowered. As far as the ride it is firmer than stock and you will feel the bumps more on rough roads but is not brutal by any means. I'm very happy with the install. The only negative is I find myself taking curves faster than I used to and will probably get more tire wear.
