RS4's using H&R springs..... successful or potential failure?
trying to do as much research as possible prior to plunking down $4k for the Stassis suspension......is it true that the DRC doesn't handle the springs very well and potentially goes out with time?
is Stassis the best solution for the want of slightly lower look and firmer suspension?
thanks in advance

I've heard it...never seen it. Had a b5 with springs...still going at 55k+....8 yrs later.

i'm more interested in finding out if anyone has experienced massive failure
of the DRC suspension....i remember reading on one of the boards that the gent's DRC suspension completely crapped out.......i agree....brand new shocks should be able to adequately handle the new springs which i believe are sprung at a rate for the RS4 suspension.
i'm simply trying to determine if spending $4k for stassis is justified and warranted.
regards

Even if the spring rate was identical, running damper designed for...
a different ride height can contribute to premature failure or more importantly, a bumpy and pogo effect. But most dampers have a tiny bit of headroom with this. I wouldn't go too aggressive. I've done springs with over 1.0" drops on even aftermarket dampers (still, the aftermarket BS and Knoni dampers are designed for OEM springs) and it sucked. It cost me more $$$ than I expected. But a mild drop (0.5" or so) might work just fine IMO.
