Tough call......
Very similar purpose cars.....2 doors, 2+2 seating, AWD. I think it comes down to two things:
1. how badly you need the rear seats since they are really completely unusable in the Porsche.
2. Image. RS5 will still have more of a luxury/grand tourer image than the pure sports car image of the Porsche.

Yes - there should be an RS5 coming. The engine is not likely to be the V10 TT.
There has been a lot of speculation on the engine. Here is a quick rundown from memory:
1. Current RS4 engine - 4.2 V8
2. 4.2 V8 TT (twin turbo)
3. 4.0 V8 + Turbo or Supercharger
4. New RS6 V10 TT
5. Nobody knows but Audi !!!
Personally, I think the least likely is the RS6 V10 TT. Number 3 has got my vote for now.
Here is an article from Fourtitude that you may find interesting: http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publish/Audi_News/article_4182.shtml

4.2 High-Rev with Slight Power Bump...
My highest-placed contacts have said this.... highest place is board level. I don't think the 4.2 TFSI twin turbo would even fit and I'm almost certain the V10 TT won't fit.
To add to your lists, there's also a high-rev V10 coming for R8, so you could speculate on that as well, but I'm not sure even a V10 sans turbo plumbing would fit the A5 chassis.
Also against the V10 TFSI, this would leave them with no engine for the RS7, which CAR also said last week that they are confirming.

That makes the most sense...
This high rpm 4.2 works so well as it is. The engine is hailed by reviewers as being "glorious" and "exotic". Bumping it another 50hp will keep it at the top of its league. 470hp is plenty.

So how does this "Slight Power Bump" happen?
I guess they could do it by increasing rpms. If HP peaked at 8700 rpm, instead of 7800 rpm, that would add 50HP, but it would require a 9K redline. Ouch!
