RS5 with Turbos 500lbs ft torque - Where does this leave the RS4?
Looking at getting an RS4 but just read Audi insider is reporting the RS5 will have two turbos with the 4.2L. Looks like it may knock out the purchase for now.
Disappointing.<ul><li><a href="http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/secret_new_car.php?sid=701&page=1">http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/secret_new_car.php?sid=701&page=1</a</li></ul>

European Car says the RS5 will have the same engine as the RS4....
possibly with a power boost. They claim Audi is waiting until official M3 #'s are out before they release the RS5 info.
Makes sense and hopefully what ever they do to the RS5 we can do with the RS4.

In the dust if it happens :) ...
but it only has 2 doors and I wanted a 4-door sports sedan so do I care? Nope. I look forward to the next RS4 when it comes out and I'll enjoy my RS4 in the mean time. If they do make such a beast, I suspect they'll do the same for the next gen RS4 as well.

I think it's going to happen faster than you think Bob...

Sounds like a bunch of garbage to me
A high revving (8,200 or 8,250 RPM redline), regularly aspirated FSI VL V8 with either 4.2L of displacement (the current V8) producing 420/426 SAE/DIN hp/313 KW and 332 lbs/ft of torque/450 nm or 4.5L of displacement (an all new engine if this is the displacement) producing 450/456 SAE/DIN hp/335 or 336 kw and 354 lbs/ft of torque/480 nm is the safe bet for the B8 RS 4 and RS 5, just as I said before.
There is no way on Earth that a force fed V8 or a V10 (regularly aspirated or force fed) will fit in the engine bay of the B8 RS 4 and RS 5 unless it is enlarged so that it is one to two feet longer overall with a one to two foot longer wheelbase, which would add 300-600 pounds, The forced induction would add another 100-150 pounds. Two more cylinders and eight more valves would add 100-150 pounds.
Not to mention, the six speed stick cannot reliably or durably handle more than 443 lbs/ft of torque/600 nm.
