Default Should I do it? FOR THE LOVE OF SPAM PLEASE HELP ME

I currently drive an 04 S4, purchased new. Love it, etc etc.

Stopped by the dealership yesterday and, for reasons passing understanding, test drove an 08 RS4.

[Insane ranting ensues]

JESUS F*CKING CHRIST BUGGERY @#$!##$ WTF %!$@ OMG

LIKE AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT CAR 3$!@#!$! S4 IS SLOW AND CLUMSY IN COMPARISON ##$!!@! WTF ##!@#%@ SPLEEN !@#$!$$

[/Insane ranting]

So shoudl I do it?

The price tag is giving me slight pause. Also, as a head-fake to fiscal responsibility, I try to keep a car for at least 4 years or so.

But I heard that the RS4 is being discontinued. Has this been confirmed?

Also, it seems the RS4 is still using BOSE ("blows") audio, and the european steering wheel and seats are not available in US. Not sure any of these are deal breakers, but I'm thinking long and hard on this one.

Any help advice appreciated.

(and the s.o. is not any help at all in this, haha).

Default I had a 04 S4 I loved...then drove a RS4 on a whim 2 months ago. Can't ever go back! There is

no comparision. And life is too short to drive something you're not absolutely happy with! The RS4 will be quite a rare car for a while.

Default At least you got to test drive the RS4...

All I was allowed to do was start the car, and I bought it on the spot after a bit of haggling. No regrets since.

Default yes, last RS4 sedan orders are being accepted this month.

as long as you're not putting yourself in financial harms way, go for it. It's a fantastic car and a nice upgrade from your B6. Some folks have put on the Euro steering wheel but haven't heard of anyone doing the Euro seats yet.

Default There was a rumor a while back that was false, this time it's true.

A few months ago, some rag published that the RS4 was ending. At the time it was false. Then there were stories (such as the one in Winding Road) recanting the story of the RS4 end-of-production.

Now, there are stories saying that orders for 08 RS4's end in November (now). These, by most accounts, are true. However, cabriolet's will continue further into 2008.
