Default non-refundable once the color and specs are final and car enters production makes sense...

but non-refundable just to be on a wait list would be ridiculous.

Isn't there a law in some states about that?

$80K for two more cylinders will flop. Guessing $150K should be the ceiling.

Default a loaded R8 V8 is about $135k, without dealer mark-up.

I may be wrong, but I think the typical selling price for the R8 has been closer to $150k. The UK version of the R8 V10 has a base price about $30K more than the UK R8 V8. So wouldn't be surprised to see them going for close to $200k here in the US...and they'll have no problem selling the few that are brought here.

Default R8 selling prices now?

I'm not too sure a big premium would be wise for this car.
I shudder to think what the europeans will be paying for this baby...200K euros? ouch!

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___2008-Audi-R8-4-2_W0QQitemZ150326946878QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQ ddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=ite m150326946878&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkpa rms=72%3A317%7C65%3A12%
