Slipping Clutch?

Slipping Clutch?
Hey guys,
Ok I did my usual 1-2 hrs of searching to try to find a thread matching my problem, but maybe I'm just stupid enough to do this to my car.
My friend and I were trying a 0-60 run using the Dynolicious software. I turned off traction control, revved up the engine to 4-5krpm and did an -almost- 100% clutch release. I noticed the car wasn't pushing as hard, and I, for that moment, thought that the tires were slipping. By the time it hit redline, I realized that it was the clutch!! WTH? I did buy the car used with 13k miles on it, and now I have 24k miles. I don't beat on it, but I've definitely made successful hard starts (rationalizing that the first owner didn't thrash it either). Now the clutch doesn't feel as grippy as before, but it could just be a mental thing.
Isn't the car supposed to handle these types of starts once in a while?
You guys can laugh at me all you want, but please include some info I can use as well. Do I need a new clutch?
Thanks !!!

You may have just glazed the clutch a little. Give it a few days and it may be back to normal...
If the clutch wasn't fully engaged by the time you got on the throttle heavily it was very likely slipping which could scorch the surface of the clutch.
Did you get a bad smell in the car ? I mean a really bad smell ?

Thanks for your reply.
Yes - I smelled the clutch. I forgot to mention I have a bit of previous racing experience. I just don't have experience launching the RS4.
So just keep driving it as I normally do?
