so I found this local oil distributor that can order me a 55gal drum of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40...

Default so I found this local oil distributor that can order me a 55gal drum of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40...
...LOL. Didn't even ask how much because it seemed ridiculous, but exactly how many oil changes would that be? According to this distributor, they can't order smaller quantities in the US.

Default Just for you Bob and to be exact here is the break down of the numbers...
55 USG = 208.197 litres of oil.

Assuming Audi's own technical specs are correct the oil capacity of the RS4's motor is 8.0 litres or 8.5 US quarts.

So rounding out the drum to 208 litres that would give you exactly 26 oil changes with 0.197 of a litre left over for some top offs.

Default just throw the drum in the trunk and pump it to the engine and back and run
the car for life. Or at least 100k miles or so.

Default Since when were Audi specs correct?
The RS4 takes about 9.5 quarts of oil for a full oil change.

LOL. That's why I said "assuming Audi's specs are correct". So add 1 US quart for the filter too.
