Default this is the placement, on dash, for US Spec...

...not sure if this is the exact button location on the production models, as this one is next to a dummy. and this was a euro spec car (note the speedo) that was modified to be used for Audi events in NA. but it will be in this bank.

Default after thinking about it a little more....the "S-button" is such a gimick.

Why didnt audi just keep the throttle sporty all the time? Also how much does the "S-Button" really do? Its not like it opens up 100 more HP on the engine or anything. IMO, its just like the shabby Audi Engine Start button that you have to use the key with.

Also, will the exhaust make a different note for people who install an aftermarket exhaust. Im sure alot of people will get a milltek system or something (I was going to).

Default to me, it eliminates the need for an aftermarket exhaust.

AND it allows you to turn it 'off' for quieter cruising, which is something you can't do with most aftermarket exhausts. not sure what milltek is up to...

Default but what about if you are doing an aftermarket exhaust for the gains..then the S

button is a waste of money.

Default the S button doesn't cost any extra ;-) and even with aftermarket exhaust...

...it still rempas the throttle response to be more aggressive. i wouldn't necessarily want aggressive throttle mapping when hauling people around town, but nice to know i can turn it on when desired.

be interesting to see if any aftermarket exhaust mfg'ers take advantage of letting the S button open up a baffle on their systems.

also wondering if there is anything audi hasn't already tweaked out of this car... are there still gains to be had via exhaust?

Default technically it does. There was some research put into it and there are parts. It all factors into

the final cost.

Default sure. i'm just saying that the funcitonality it adds is desirable to me. if it were a cost-option...

...i would get it. with or without an AM exhaust.
