Default Some good reading for those who might be interested......

Along with many trials and tribulations in modding cars over the past 25 years, I found these three books very useful and comprehensive in helping me understand a lot about tuning and the internal combustion engine.

1. Hartman, Jeff: How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems

Goes into exquisite detail about ECU inputs and outputs on normally aspirated and forced induction vehicles and what really happens when you start changing variables

2. Bell, Corky: Maximum Boost

Focused on the theoretical and practical applications of turbocharging, but also gives a lot of info on heat management, exhaust systems and more

3. Bell, Corky: Supercharged

Companion book to Maximum Boost. Similar Information but covers additional topics as well.

If you take the time to really understand what is in these books, you will go a long way into understanding what will and won't produce power, what will and won't be reliable, what is BS and what isn't, etc, etc, etc.
