Some testing and info on clear corners......
I was able to get my hands on a slightly damaged (missing mounting clips) B7 headlight housing from a family friend owns body shop and tried a few things.
1) The amber can be popped out without opening up the housing, but it doesn't have enough room to completely pop out without touching the inside of the housing. This causes the inside of the housing to get a minor sratch.
2) If you are willing to live with the minor scratch, the cutting method still won't work, b/c of the angle you need and the shape of the amber piece. I tried for a while with no luck of grabbing it enough to get a good cut. Trying to move the amber to get a good grip on it would again get it wedged between the inside of the housing causing more minor scratches.
3) Der Kimbo's idea will also not work. Even if you don't car about the minor scratch, the amber piece will not slide past the beginning of the projectors housing. It will get wedged in between that and the inside of the headlight housing. Plus, we still don't know if you can get the projector out.
So, opening them up seems the be the only way. The good news is that a really good blow dryer should do the job. I used my wife's and was able to get the housing open with little fuss. I actually think you can get it open without any heat, just by prying and cutting the glue as you make your way around the housing. However, you will need to heat it up after you push the housing back together to make sure it reseals.
I'm going to attempt this for real in the next week and will report back with results and hopefully pictures.

I'll save you some time....
It's already been figured out. Follow the link below...
Personally I don't mind the orange blinker, just recode with VAG-COM so that the orange lights aren't on all the time (European coding) and it look so much better and you don't have to rip apart your headlights. All RS4/S4/A4s in the world have orange blinkers - worldwide headlights. Only the coding changes.

Good luck either way.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4b7/msgs/47862.phtml">Clicky</a></li></ul>

Did the same thing when I had my 3.2 TT roadster
Pulled the Headlights out and apart. Just finished the headlights on the RS4 and they were just as easy to clear corner. The hard part is getting to the third Screw out from the back. Pics with the clear corner mods coming soon. Next Mods are hardwiring the K40 bluetooth radar detector and laser jammer and V1 and next phatnoise to replace the cd changer in the glovebox
