Default Sparco carbon DTM seats in a RS4...

Found this on the 6speed forum, Scroll down the page and you will find a set of these seats mounted in an RS4. Anyone have these? Sure looks nice and most definitely has to be an improvement for the track. Question is how's everyday comfort...<ul><li><a href="http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/gt3-gt2-gt/124988-sparco-carbon-dtm-special-edition-gt3-rs-seats-new-price.html">http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/gt3-gt2-gt/124988-sparco-carbon-dtm-special-edition-gt3-rs-seats-new-price.html</a

Default If I could afford those seats, I would definitely buy them.

$5k is a bit much for me.

Default Very nice

I'm not sure if is it a good idea to bypass the sensors since some insurance companies will not pay in the event that owners have tampered with the safety settings and gotten themselves or passengers hurt

Default USD2.8k a piece, USD5.6k per pair, vs USD5.5k per Euro seat

Better support than the stock bucket seats, from what I can see, but I'd still want to figure out how to get airbags to work properly.

Perhaps a guy that can afford those seats isn't worried if insurance doesn't cover something.

Default I've seen decent racing seats for a lot less than that. Then again, I'm sure the leather/alcantara

wouldn't match quite as well.

Default I have seats similar to those

I would swap them into my A4 for track days and runs at Bonneville. Mine are Corbeau, though.

Those seats look cool, but as a daily driver they really suck. I've left my corbeaus in for a couple of weeks at a time and they are a pain to get in/out of and are not comfortable. The picture shows one, but I have a pair.

Default yeah, but in a major accident where airbags could have deployed

and saved driver and passenger from major physical injury that could result in insurance rejecting the claim (which could easily come up to hundreds of thousands of dollars), and the passenger can take a civil suit against the driver to claim for all kinds of disability benefits, that's not quite the same as being able to shell out 5.6k for a pair of bucket seats, is it?
