Starting the break-in Saturday...

picking-up a silver/silver RS4 fitted with dedciated 18" winter wheels/Dunlop tires, splash gaurds and stone guard. The high performance OEM tires and wheeels go back on come spring. Did I mention fresh V1 and floormats, too?

High time to have a car like this where you can let out the shaft from time to time!

A dream coming true!

be careful when you 'let out the shaft'....that sounds illegal.

Or at least get the windows seriousy tinted !!!

larryV 02-08-2007 06:16 PM

skip the splash guards.... all they do is collect snow and ice

Bob W. 02-08-2007 07:10 PM

my neighbor had them on his A6....he said they would fall off every time he went up a steep driveway

Mine have been on for 3+ years without any issues. BUT

they do not give total protection. I would recommend putting a piece of ClearBra or similar in the small rocker panel corner just in front of the rear wheels. It seems that this panel gets especially stone chipped. Same panel and same problem occurred with my previous A6.

I like mine, no issues with snow, no chips at all in 50k of hard driving

Worth it in my opinion
(any marks you see in these pics are just reflections off the road)
The flaps keep the car clean longer also.

Where did you guys get the splash guards?

s4for5_TTfor2 02-09-2007 05:56 AM

clairparts.com....probably need to call them to find what you want...good people to deal with

Yeah, but these don't look like they would fit on the RS4.....

with the flaired lower body side sills. Is there an RS4 version?
