Starting in neutral
I thought I had seen a thread showing how to adjust the car (using VAG-COM) to allow the car to start in neutral rather than with the clutch depressed. I had thought this was possible in Europe (with the button start), but haven't been able to find it. Anyone know how to do this?

Wiring a remote starter?
I've not heard of this being done with VAG-COM although you might try searching/posting in the VAG-COM forum. Don't try this at home, but another (unsafe) approach is via the clutch pedal starter interlock switch which is a simple SPST contact.
