STaSIS kit ADJUSTMENT instructions (UPDATED)
(This version of my procedure supercedes the one posted earlier this morning in a separate thread.)

CANS ADJUSTMENT (assuming they are installed in the "STaSIS location"
- Remove ECU cover under hood, behind firewall
- Remove weather strip from front edge of ECU cover/top of firewall; start from the starboard side and peel it away at the same angle as the hood when it's raised. You can remove this completely (easy to reinstall)
- lift the starboard edge of the ECU cover up, so you can reach your hand to adjust the starboard Can
- COUNT THESE CLICKS AND GO *SLOW*: tighten the adjuster all the way until it stops, counting clicks as you do; make a note of this number ON PAPER, and minus ONE if you find the last click to be only partial
- back the adjuster out to the first detent (if necessary; see previous step)
- back the adjuster out 4 clicks to duplicate my happy front can setting (applies to 750 front spring only)
- move on to the port Can, lifting the ECU cover as you go there; there won't be as much room for your hand on this one because the ECU cover is anchored to the firewall with an E-clip, which I prefer not to remove and reattach.
- COUNT THESE CLICKS: tighten the adjuster all the way as you did for the starboard can, and note the previous setting ON PAPER; then adjust to four clicks out from the first real detent as you did before.
- replace the weather strip, working from one end or the other; find the happy place where it slips onto the top edge of the firewall without binding; make sure also to lay the aft edge of the strip on TOP of the ECU cover's foreware edge; use two thumbs to seat a 2-inch section fully; then work your two thumbs along the length of the rest of the strip, working from port to starboard
Cans are done; note your settings ON PAPER, and keep this pad in the car with you at all times.
REAR REBOUND ADJUSTMENT
- park on a dry surface, unless you are wearing your bathers
- sit your *** on the ground, with your feet toward the front of the car, and your *** on the ground in the same spot where the tire sits on the ground
- lean back so your back touches the ground
- with your inboard arm, put your hand on the ground, then lift it up to find the bottom of the control arm, then put your fingers on the big bolt head that faces aft, then let your fingers do the walking to find the next big bolt head immediately above the first
- press the heel of your hand right smack on that second bolt head; the adjuster is now in between your thumb and forefinger
- COUNT THESE CLICKS: tighten the adjuster all the way until it bottoms out (don't count that click, 'cause it's only a half click, and we don't need no stinkin' halfclicks), then back it out to the first detent. "Tighten" in this case is not as straightforward as it was with the cans...the key to remembering which way to turn the adjuster is to realize that you are turning a threaded thing at the bottom of the entire assembly, which moves a shaft inside the chamber UP. In other words, your frame of reference is from below, as if you were using a screwdriver to drive a screw up into the bottom of the car.
- loosen the adjuster 10 clicks to duplicate my happy rear setting (applies to 1200 rear spring only)
- repeat for the other rear adjuster
FRONT REBOUND ADJUSTMENT
- start the car and turn the steering wheel to full lock
- you reach in for the front adjuster from the front, so whichever wheel is toed-out is the corner you are working on in this step
- stick your arm under the car beneath the air dam, so your elbow wedges ever-so-slightly in between the tire and the air dam
- put your hand on the ground, and then lift it up until it hits the lower control arm
- find the big bolt head facing forward; this is the bottom of the shock
- walk your fingers up the shaft about 3 - 4 inches, where you will feel the adjuster (identical to the rear adjuster)
- use the same adjustment procedure as before, making sure to COUNT THESE CLICKS
- after determining the setting where you WERE, back out the adjuster to 5 clicks to duplicate my happy front setting (applies to 750 front spring only)
Keep a pad in the car and write down each setting you make.
If you have not adjusted this kit from its initial settings yet, I'm certain that these settings I've prescribed will be a whole different world.
