Default Sticky Clutch

Is there any way to check the clutch fluid level?

My friend is having a problem with her RS4...the clutch is sticky after depressing the pedal. What's happening is she's pushing the clutch in and when she's letting off, something grabs and makes it feel sticky. Has anyone experienced this? It's a new problem she's having after taking her car to the dealership.

TIA!

Clutch uses the same reservoir as the brakes if I remember correctly

so if the clutch fluid is low, the low brake fluid light would come on, correct?

Default What's the build date on the car? If it's 06 there was a problem with a hose.

that needs to be changed out.

Default Interesting. I've had the same issue, sorta

If I'm cruising and downshift hard into 3rd, say, sometimes the clutch pedal doesn't come up all the way, and it feels like the clutch is slipping. This happens for a split second before the clutch engages and all's well.

Anyone else experience this?

Default Yes.... in my 06 build date RS4.

It was fixed by the dealer by replacing a hose.

Default Exactly

My guess is that you have a master cylinder, hose, or slave cylinder issue

Default Yeppers.....

It's listed as 8E1-721-465-AQ Tube

It's a rubber hose that connects to the slave cylinder that collapses when it gets warm
