Default Stratmosphere shifter

Those who bought this shifter: How much have you reduced the throw? Stratmo are recommending 30% to me, but I was leaning toward the maximum 40%.

Default What's wrong w/ the stock shifter?

I think the factory shifter is perfect, and I'm not adverse to mods. I have the stasis suspension, euro wheel, and miltek catbacks but I have no desire to change the shifter. In fact, I find short shifters = more missed shifts on track = lost race. I don't want to feel like I'm driving a milk truck either, but I think our cars have a nice setup as is.

Default I figured if you're gonna put in a short throw, you might as well set it to the max.

I've never tried the 30% but I'm happy with the 40% setting.

I've had 'em, and I've gone back to the factory setup. It's not like you're going to miss a shift on the street or toolin' around the track, but I do find in the heat of competition those really short throws can bite. I know plenty of other racers who share my opinion so I know I'm not alone on this. It stands to reason. The shorter throws mean smaller gates which also means a better chance of missing one. Anyway, I think the factory setup is perfect. Just my opinion. I will admit, however, the short throws feel cool and racy if that's what you're after.
