hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I'm currently considering buying a used 2007 RS4 that has a strut problem that has a clunking noise. Anybody know if audi fixed this problem? I read on some sites that Audi came out with a fix for all RS4 and RS6 last august (2009) but not confirmed by all members. Any tips and info would be greatly appreciated!!

That sounds like the leaking DSC problem that seems hit or miss on these cars. I've read from several owners where AoA has been replacing these under warranty.

There's also an outside chance that it's not the struts. My car was clunking in the cold weather and the problem was defective (cracked) control arm bushings. AoA replaced them all (a year ago) and the car is fine now.

Good luck, the RS4 is a great car that does everything well.

I would be more concerned about the carbon build-up issues, thats why I have stayed away from getting an RS4.
