Is it only for the Q7? or will it be a version for the RS4_B7??
I guess it doesn't (?) make much sense today to tweak such a car like the RS4_B7 but you know... out of educational interest :-) Cause I maybe interested after 2-3 years to put some more muscle (...) in the life of her! BTW .. would it fit in there for the space the RS4 has? Another bad thing would be weight and this is already an issue for the RS4.. Just thinking outloud.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't work.
The Q7 FST V8 also has 12.5:1 compression ratio. It would only be the matter of additional overhead clearance, which could be remedied with a new bulging hood made out of carbon fiber. It might look ugly, but it should work.

The issues I see with this setup...
1.) Underhood clearance. I don't think it will fit under the RS4.
2.) Rev range. A roots blower set up for the rev range of the RS4 will be a huge compromise. I'm no roots expert, but I don't even know if 8250 would be possible. If it is, it will be very underdriven in the low RPM range.
3.) Weight. Throwing another 50+ lbs over the front of an RS4 isn't going to help things.
4.) Engine setup. The Q7 engine is very different. The intake setup uses dual MAF's among other things. I don't know how much of the development could be shared between the two platforms.
