Suspension change - opinions please
 

All- I have been looking for a new or used set of Olhins SL's (Or aka Stasis Challenge kit) to no avail. I am also in need of new brakes and am trying to get these items taken care of at the same time. Since I can not seem to find my desired setup, I am now considering the following; KW V3's @ ($2.5k) and the Olhins Motorsports @ ($6k~) .

Now the cost of the Ohlins is obviously my hold-up with that setup, otherwise this would be a no-brainer. My hold-up with the KW's is the reported issues with sqeaking and the difference in ride characteristics between it and my desired Olhins kit.

I am not planning on tracking the car, just some spirited driving, so I thought I would reach out to see what this collective might have to say to aid my decision. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Dave - You should put a Wanted ad in the classifieds.

Have you considered the Bilstein PSS9 kit for your car? These are great suspension kits. They have adjustable Rebound and Compression like the V3s.

Do you (or anyone for that matter) have a recomendation for the settings to avoid the reported "bounce" problem which happens at highway speeds with the Bilstein PSS9 when going over humps? I and am going to give this setup a chance due to fact that I can not seem to track down an Ohlin sl or ms setup new or used currently. I have read in one of the forums that if you set the PSS9's to the stiffest setting it alviates the reported extra bounce. Any and all thoughts are greatly appreciated. -d
