Default Suspicious oil buildup on bottom of engine.

So I had some extra time at work recently and decided to put the RS4 on the hoist and have a look-see underneath the car. The car definitely does not leak oil, as least doesn't leave any spots on the garage floor, but the marks from oil seeping out from between the engine and transmission were a little concerning. Is this normal or has anyone else notices this? Thanks.

Mine is the same or even slightly wet. I'm praying it's not the timing chain cover gaskets. That would require engine removal to fix.

Not sure which direction the photo is pointing - towards the engine I think - anyway it looks like the markings are only on the transmission and not on the engine, which is strange. Could it be spillage from a transmission fluid change? Did you both change the fluid?
Not to get off track but is changing the transmission fluid a part of the recommended maintenance - not talking about the clutch fluid here. Most manuals do not need the fluid changed - it's good for the life of the transmission but if you track, etc maybe it's a good idea?

You may want to have the oil separator/circulator inspected. I had something similar and eventually lead to small droplets of oil on the ground. I thought it was an oil leak but the oil separator was faulty, causing a build up of pressure and thus oil seepage.

The pics taken from under the transmission facing forward. The last maintenance would have been done by the dealer, which was the 45,000 mile service. The car is also CPO so I think i'll take it in to at least get the condition documented.
