you pull your unit and send it to Proxus in chicago. You can buy a Multimedia
kit and then the DVD player can be controlled through the RNS-E.

If I understand correctly, you need the multimedia interface and a separate dvd player to watch a dvd movie? And then whatever video in motion software/hardware for passenger entertainment while moving...

Nope, can't. You are correct though. The software needs to be modified to enable
the video in motion bit. Then the multimedia adapter translates the information from the dvd player into something the RNS-E can understand to display video.
The DVD drive in the RNS-E cannot read DVD movies even if you have the video in motion enabled.
