Default Can't be done with VAG-COM (VCDS as it's now called), but... (more)

there is a VIM software hack that enables Video In Motion (VIM) - see www.navplus.us

Default you pull your unit and send it to Proxus in chicago. You can buy a Multimedia

kit and then the DVD player can be controlled through the RNS-E.

Go to navplus.us and take a lookie loou

Default That or you can DIY. pretty simple. All the info you need is on Navplus.us.

Just need the downgrade files and a vag-com.

Default Is it even possible to watch a DVD in park using the Nav DVD Slot?

If I understand correctly, you need the multimedia interface and a separate dvd player to watch a dvd movie? And then whatever video in motion software/hardware for passenger entertainment while moving...

Default Nope, can't. You are correct though. The software needs to be modified to enable

the video in motion bit. Then the multimedia adapter translates the information from the dvd player into something the RNS-E can understand to display video.

The DVD drive in the RNS-E cannot read DVD movies even if you have the video in motion enabled.
