Default Or these?

Although they say this is the "value" choice? I dont like "value" anything when it comes to my car... unless its clearly good

Posi semi metallic

Default I'm not sure if those are exactly the same. I got mine through Dave Zeckhausen.

Default You want these:

And make sure you get the stainless lines while you're at it - I got just the Centric Posi Quiet pads and the brakes felt like jello. Upgraded the lines to stainless (requiring the system to be bled) and the bite is much nearer to stock. The only difference I feel now is that the bite is still not there when the pads are cold - when they are warm/hot it's almost identical to stock, with about 85% less dust on the wheels and rocker panels.

linky

Are the brake lines hard to install?

Super easy, but bleeding the system was a real pain in the butt. A shop will charge you $60-80

Default You bed them in just the first time or every time after rain (like I have to do to the stock pads)??

Any issues with a 'boggy' pedal feel with the stock brake lines?

Hows the fade for occasional track use?

Default Re: Are these the Posi pads someone was recommending?

Yes, those are the pads. PosiQuiet 104 series Semi Metallics. I just installed them on my RS4 and am quite happy. Nearly no dust, great feel, no discernable difference from the OEM pads in normal driving (i am agressive on brakes).

These are NOT track pads, BTW.

Also, these pads are scorched,a final process that helps speed the bed-in, so I am told. Worked great for me, just a few stabs of the pedal.

Dave Z is a great source for these.

Also, dont read too much into certain web seller's features and benefits descriptions. That AA description is boiler-plate and doesnt reflect the quality and performance of these pads.

Talk to Dave Z...
