Default The biggest improvement would be...

... to remove the whole mess and enjoy a lighter-weight car and listen to the FSI music

Default Factory navigation head unit. That's it. All else is aftermarket.

And this head is one of the better factory head units. I'm running RCA's from the factory harness to my amps. Bose is gone.

Default You probably have to reprogam the head unit to remove the equalization setting for Bose

could be wrong on this

Default Haha.. But you know whats REALLY funny? That you are right..

I mean, I REALLY thought you guys were exaggerating when people said that they just turn off their radio to listen to the car..

And then I picked up my car and understood. Its really quite funny. I didn't listen to the radio for a long time when I got the car. Now, I find myself (very often) turning it off to listen to the engine. Damn.. I mean, I live in Boston where the temp this morning was 18 F and I STILL drove with the windows partially open so I could listen to the engine.

I REALLY thought people were exaggerating. Now I realize that we are all just crazy

The equalization settings are in the amp. Remove the amp, remove all Bose control.
