Re: Is it an over-pressure warning ? 48-50 psi sounds pretty high...
says max 50psi on tire and i never add any air to them......they come that way.
Is tire pressure low warning.
Is tire pressure low warning.

you know I had the same problem, except that only the right two tires had that pressure, and the left ones were within normal range.

i don't really understand how it works.
i've had my pressures get down to around 32psi, and the warning never went off....i suppose because the pressures were ALL low. i don't know what the threshold(s) is/are to activate the system. i do know that the system in my bimmer worked well when i had one tire with a leak.

i don't understand it either. prob something to do with where they were at when you "set"...
...the pressures. or maybe you never have. the system isn't designed to use a default pressure. i think they are allowing for variances based on what tires/wheels you're using and how you like to run.
so you are supposed to inflate to desired psi, then "store" those values in the TPMS. and then some variance from your "stored values" is what triggers the alert.
at least that's how i understand it.
