Tires and road noise
I have been running the Dunlop Z-1 StarSpec's and after 10,000 miles on the tires they have gotten progressively louder on the road. I really did not pay much attention until I put the snows on...
How have the other "performance" tires done in terms of road noise?

I posted the exact same thing not too long ago.....
Put on my Dunlop Winter Sports and realized just how loud the stock Pirelli P-Zeros had become. My guess is the Pirelli's have about 9000 miles on them.
Michelin Pilot Sport 2 seem to have a much better noise rating according to the tire rack. This is probably what I'll go with next Spring.
To a certain extent you cant avoid the fact, however, that more grip=more friction=more noise
