Titanium Wheel more expensive than non-Ti
Have a friend (bodyshop owner) costing out Ti OEM wheels for my RS4 and the list is $1010 Cdn each vs. $630 for the regular silver wheel.
WTF?
Dealers are nuts.
Is this correct? Anyone have experience in repalcing an OEM Ti wheel?

Yes, Audi raised the prices last Aug, pretty much overnight and nearly double. I missed out by a couple of weeks when I bought my winter setup and even though I had an e-mail confirm from the salesman they couldn't honor iot anymore as they didn't have them in stock and had to source new ones at the new price. The price diff is huge and unjustified IMO, might as well buy aftermarket lighter wheels. So I ended up with non-Ti for my winter setup, don't mind it actually, still looks great as it does pickup from the interior bits (steering wheel, shifter, pedals, etc.) and the little (thankfully) chrome that's around the car (4 rings, RS4/V8 badging, etc.)
I can't imagine the Tis costing twice as much to make, mayby AofA knew lots of people want to 'retro-fit' so they thought thay can charge more...

Yeah...cause they're ****** and try to rip off where-ever they can. Just like the throttle body that is on our cars lists for $990 and it's identicle to those on Corvettes and GM charges $100 for the part.
