Default took the 750i in for service today....got a loaner story.

so I'm waiting for the loaner chick to put the paperwork together, and we had this conversation:

loaner chick: 'do you like speed?'
me: 'umm, sure'
loaner chick: 'because this car I'm giving you is reeeally fast'
me: 'ok...what is it?'
loaner chick: 'a 2007 335i...it has 500hp'
me: 'oh?...cool.' (thinking to myself 'what a twit')
loaner chick: 'if I was going to get a new car right now, that's the car I would get. except i'm going to wait for the new 1-series with the same engine. that car will be faster than the M5 or M3.'
me: 'i'll bet.'

LOL, so anyhoo....power is pretty decent, but man that 1-wheel-drive bullsh1t rrrreeeaallly sucks. freeway passing power is nice, but from a dead stop, forget it. handling seems pretty decent and the steering is maybe just a bit more heavily weighted than the RS4. interior quality is...not good (but about the same as the new M-B C-class, FWIW). the other odd thing is that I felt like I was sitting on a phonebook, even with the seat all the way down....not much headroom (i'm 6'2"). a bit like the B5 S4 in that respect, though the seats in the 335 aren't as supportive.

that is all.

Default Yeah, one wheel drive....which is why CHIO is back in a B7 instead of a 335
