Default The TPMS in the RS4 is passive or active?

hopefully it's passive so it'll still work when I swap wheels.

Default I didn't think the RS4 came with TPMS, does it?

I know it was an option on the S4 but the one I drove off the lot didn't have it installed.

Besides the features of TPMS, aren't there some disadvantages?

Default what's the difference between active and passive TPMS?

the manual says something about installing new wheels, IIRC.

Default How can it be an option? There are no options, just Premium package..

So is it in the Premium package or not?

Because unlike the S4, there are no individual options unless you count the rear side impact airbags.

Default Active uses dedicated pressure sensors...

Passive uses ABS sensors to detect variations in wheel speed.

Default oddly enough, it's not listed on the window sticker.

nor is it listed in the specs on audiusa.com.

but there are a couple pages of info about it in the owner's manual, and nowhere is it referred to as being optional.

so there you go.
