Treo 650
I am having difficulty getting my phonebook to load in my new car. I have Cingular service with the latest updates in the phone.
Is anyone using the Treo and if so do you have any suggestions?
Thanks

I had some issues with my 650 and upgraded the Sprint software to 1.3 that was a nightmare.....
in itself. The phone is now working and will upload everything like incoming and outgoing calls, except the phone book. If you get your phone book to work please let me know.

I have the same problem with my Nokia 6682 (Cingular)
I started another thread down below where someone posted that it could take up to an hour for the phone book to download. Not sure if that's just the case or not but I haven't been able to drive the car more than 15 minutes at a time since yesterday.

I think the 650 will only download your favorites into the cars phonebook. Looks like I will have to spend a while adding voice dial names and numbers which should work just fine.
By the way the car is so awesome! 104 miles and counting. Its sweet.

My Nokia 6820 works, mostly...
Phone book functionality is WAY better in the RS4 than it is in my last-month-of-production-E46 M3 CS; which is to say that the phone book connection ACTAULLY WORKS in the Audi, and not at all in the BMW.
But I have found that, despite the RS4 owner's manual claim that the car's phonebook can hold up to 500 entries, not all entries in my phone have ever made it into the RS4 phonebook.
It seems that the criterion for whether a particular entry in the phone makes it into the car's phonebook is FIFO; more-recently added contacts in the phone do not make it into the car's phone book, regardless of alphanumeric sort order.
Sorry not to have any more helpful information than that little anecdote.
I think HiRev is using a Motorola Q with similarly semi-successful results.

http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/6820/0,2803,zoom:1,00.html</a
