trim/Carbon/Brushed alum/Wood??
OK,
I have taken the plunge and set to trade the 05.5 S4 for the RS4. Order will go out tommorrow or the next. took a little hit on the trade, but not too bad. The official numbers will be sent tommorrow. ANyway, staying with the phantom black/black..was wondering about interior trim. currently i have the walnut wood, and i like it very much. i have not seen the carbon fiber, but had a loaner with the brushed aluminum and it appeared cheap looking to me on an A4. Is the walnut available??? Or would those of you with carbon fiber recommend that. I will dheck with the salesman tommorrow as well. thanks...

I have the wood on my S4 and really like it. Alum doesn't do it for me. BUT
I would go for the CF which was not an option on my 04 S4s. All trims look good. It is just a matter of personal taste.

I just installed the B7 RS4 CF trim on my 2005 B6 S4 and it really is nice.
Its a little different than the B7 S4 CF trim that was sold. It has a bigger basket weave and the carbon fiber looks very "deep" through the clear finish.
I think that what Dr. GP said is the truth, its just a matter of taste. But if you do get the CF, then you can always trade someone for their Aluminun or Wood trim plus some cash (actually a lot of cash). That CF trim is very expensive! If you would go to the dealer and buy it, I believe it cost about $2000, but most people can find it for around $1600 shipped.

the wood in the RS4 is different from the S4.
I think it's birch. the CF in the RS4 is basically just a thicker weave than the S4 CF. I haven't seen the birch, but the CF looks great with either black or silver leather. It's tough to make a bad decision with most any Audi interior.

I would select CF in black/black, or How about piano black trim?
