Default trouble connecting cell to car via bluetooth

Got my new Motorola KRZR today. Went into the Blutooth connect option on the phone. Device search began, then I got a message on the phone screen saying "No device found". My RNS-E was on and in TEL mode, with the message saying "your phone may not be connected properly, etc..."

Is there a step I'm missing here?

Default What service do you have?....

I know Verizon works, but have heard issues with Cingular.

I did exactly what you are trying and it worked for me. It comes up as Audi UHV 5305 for me.

Default I've heard that newest RNS-E will only do BT pairing within the 1st 5 minutes of startup.

I suggest you take a break then try again.

But basically you seem to be doing the right procedure.

Default Do you have the Euro wheel and/or did you change any VAG settings in....

Telephone/Nav etc?

When I was trying to figure out the coding for the Euro wheel I picked the wrong code at first and my KRZR wouldn't connect.

Default Got it working......

I had to sort of turn on the phone function on the car and the Bluetooth link on my phone at the same time. Works fine.

Default

That is a correct statement. You need to connect within the first 5 mins.
