I am pretty sure you'll only need one.
I think your number is correct 12,000 over a 3 year(2 model year) period. Supposedly only 1,000 per year to the USA. Nothing is ever carved in stone however, except no Avant RS4's for the USA.

BTW, only about 5000 S4s are imported into the US/year
Actually, that figure might be for North America. Both are limited production. RS4 being even more limited. BTW, 12000 RS4s seems high, and for how many years?

I recall the production numbers for the S4 was 15k annually
but i have no recollection of where i read that..
12k RS4s? that is way high. the RS4 is far more limited in production than the S4, if only because the factory is unable to pump out that many.
not to mention the RS4 is a limited run as well.

i would think it would be hard to draw relationships between the two sales figures
so many other factors, like competition, economics, markets, etc.
maybe someone more enterprising can do it, or with more inside info?
