Have any of you guys come across this upgrade/mod. I guess it's bigger in Europe where most of the Nav systems come with a tv tuner and makes it easier for passengers to play/watch a tv/dvd while moving.

U.S. version of course. That's a real cool thing to have for this car.

not for the driver of course, but it would be nice to be able to listen to the news on a drive to work - or atleast listen/occasionally glance at say, oh, Scarface or something on a long drive.

It is the same for all RNS-E units, regardles if this is A4 / S4 or RS4

I am so taking advantage of this option. Too bad it can't just be programmed via VAG.
