Unitronic vs Revo

Unitronic vs Revo
I'm out in Dubai (UAE) and don't have access to any custom tuning here. I've been offered Revo and Unitronic reflashes for around USD699 here by two separate folks and was wondering if you guys have any any experience with either or both, and what your thoughts are
My car is completely stock, and all i'm considering for power mods is a reflash, seeing that an exhaust is pretty much out of budget due to a recent investment in a roof over my head

Problems with both
Friends of mine have not noticed gains with the unitronic, and decided to put the car back to stock and get the full refund.
Revo does have noticeable gains, but also check engine light has gone on.

hm, that's bad. If the gains are not significant
then i might just pass on it and keep the car stock. if anything, it would probably be worthwhile spending on a JHM extreme short shifter and either ARBs or a set of Stasis SLs / KW v3s

To my knowledge there have been zero issues in any cars with our software
If you know of a specific customer or issue, please let us know or have them contact us as we've had no dealer or customer reports about a CEL after having Revo installed. Dynos for reference.

It's a tough call, you would have to send out your ECU!
So that means your car will be down for a few days.
With any flash on a non turbo car, there are gains but they are in the 3-10% range, not the 20-30% of a turbo car. There is much more to a flash then the peak numbers, it's the throttle response, smoothness of the new power band & the extra revs, lastly no more speed limiter.
A lot of times, you don't feel the extra power so much, the torque band is lowered & flattened out, so it's smoother, & smooth power is hard to feel, really the best way is to do some 1/4mi runs or get it on the dyno!
