UPDATE: DBW gas pedal to Tilton race pedal conversion (sort of)...
Let's start with a regular B6 A4 DBW gas pedal with its potentiometer.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CAR-Brakes-Completere-work-STaSI-17.jpg">
Not to get into any trouble running the car because it is a BDW car we decided on a mechanical way to activate the DBW pedal by the Tilton race pedal. Here we cut off part of the OEM gas pedal.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CompletebrakemodJune2008041.jpg">
As you can see the Tilton gas pedal comes with a rod to activate a regular type mechanical throttle body.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/tiltonpedals.jpg">
We took that rod and shorten it to fit our needs. We also "shaved" some metal (more like the paint coating) off the rod so that a rod end could be slipped over it.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CompletebrakemodJune2008073.jpg">
Rod end used in the new assembly. Two of these will be required.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CompletebrakemodJune2008074.jpg">
Rod end installed over the Tilton gas pedal rod.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CompletebrakemodJune2008075.jpg">
Rod installed (minus the rod end) onto the Tilton gas pedal.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CompletebrakemodJune2008076.jpg">
Now we also needed to do the same sort of installation on the OEM gas pedal so we drilled through the plastic OEM pedal installed a proper length bolt and slipped the other rod end onto it.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CompletebrakemodJune2008077.jpg">
The two gas pedals lined up in front of each other. The Tilton is somewhat offset to the left from the OEM pedal when looking at it from the driver's seating position.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CompletebrakemodJune2008078.jpg">
To link the two pedals together via their respective rod ends we used a hollow tube which was treaded at both ends to accept the rod ends.
<img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/mlab601/CompletebrakemodJune2008079.jpg">
Finally here are the two pedals hooked up together with our home made link. I'm glad to report it worked flawlessly during two days of tracking.

Over all shot of the completed Tilton pedal assembly including some "anti-slip" tape used where the feet do all their working.
