Default Updated Front Filler Info

I spent some time with the parts dept. manager (great guy) at my local dealer and we looked up a few part numbers.

It looks like the two best filler panels for the RS4 are:
8E0 807 287 E 3FZ (satin black, brushed aluminum strips) - this is the one that comes on the RS4 from the factory.

8E0 807 287 C 3FZ (satin black, black strips) - this is the one I have on my car.

I think any of the S4 or S-Line A4 fillers will fit our cars, but I don't think any will look as good as the two I have listed. My Filler Write-Up has been updated to reflect the changes.

Default Thanks Sparkhill. I think my parts guy got it wrong again. He told me that "C" was the aluminum

one. I guess we'll see when it gets here. Thanks again!

Default Thanks from me also! -- Anyone know if these are still supposed to be on back-order?

I just followed up w/the dealer on this -- now at least I can tell whether the right part is on order!

Yes still on back order. "E" was $227 and "C" is $118.

Default Buzzzzt. Here is how to decode a part number.

Taking the filler panel as an example:
8E0 807 287 E 3FZ

8E0 = B7A4 platform
807 = first digit is main group (8 = body work), last two digits (07) are subgroup
287 = the actual part number
E = version (E=RS4)
3FZ = color (3FZ = black)

So if it comes from the factory with "E", who is removing it and why do I have to buy one?

Default Yeah, the dealer was whining about the cost -- I ordered w/the filler panel...

but the car came in w/the mfugly plate holder, so they are comping me the filler.
