Default VERY PISSED OFF.....

So I had a client visit for a late meeting and dinner. We got out at about 1130. I am driving down the highway and merging on to route 3. I go to accelerate from 2nd to 3rd and the clutch just sticks! It was all the way in and I gave gas and it just revved. I put it into neutral and then put the car back into 3rd and again it just revved WITH THE CLUTCH IN! At this point I got a very strong burning smell so I turned on my hazards and pulled the car into the emergency lane. I shut the car off and sniffed the fumes for a little while. I got to turn the car back on and the clutch pedal is hard as a rock! I got my hose replaced by Audi and they said it was fixed.

So now I am waiting with a client on the side of the road. Hes getting upset cause he flew across the country, had the meeting, had dinner and just wanted to get back to the hotel. I waited for like 25 mins and turned the car on. It turns on and the clutch feels VERY SOFT. The car shifts very strange and the feeling is very odd. It feels like its just sliding but it still grabs. Any ideas? What the hell is wrong with this car?

Default I got it the first time, and I have no answer for you, but I do understand your frustration

Needless to say you should call your dealer tomorrow AM and insist on an emmergency visit to address the issue.

Just out of curiosity how many miles do you have on the car and how many on the new clutch?

Default a little WD40 and some duct tape will fix you right up.

sorry...sounds like a trip to the dealer would be appropriate.

Default Clutch slave cylinder is my guess..... maybe air in the system... but most likely a component

problem..... sorry. Sucks when stuff like that happens.

Default Don't I recall you having clutch issues with your S4?

I'm not saying it is the driver, but I'm wondering . No offense intended. I hope that Audi will make if right for you.

Pretty much the same exact scenario I had at 1000 miles and they replaced the hose, so my guess is the fix ain't a real "fix".
