Re: Still do - An 05 Legacy Base
08 Legacy here, bought in July. some styling differences for 08 front, back, and front fenders. of course, i'm sure you know that.
man, they can't sell legacy's. it's a rare occasion when i see one on the road, sedan especially.
it kicks butt on Accord, Camry, and Mazda 6, w/AWD to boot. seems like Subaru totally ignores it compared to Outbacks, Foresters and Imprezas. then they have 6 model designations for the Legacy(i, SE, Limited, GT Limited, Spec B, and now 3.0 Limited). makes very little sense, IMO. market the damn thing instead of trying to cover all bases.

I agree with you....
Subaru needs to first
1. Properly market the Legacy
2. Upgrade the standard equiptment so it at least matches it's rivals.
3. Put the 5-speed in the damn base model and engineer the boxer flat 4 so it has better fuel economy.
As for the overall car, It has not had any problems since i purchased it over 2 years ago. I have done all scheduled maintenance and the relaibility on the car has been outstanding. Winter performance is amazing (with the proper snow tires of course). Donuts are fun in the stop an shop parking lots LOL. Good Luck with the legacy man, its a fantastic car. Shame that there is very few on the road. My friend just picked up an 08SE for 20,100 out the door after taxes, registration, etc.

listen to what they're saying...
they just gave a complete run-down of the internal workings of the engine, and i think explained it better than RI RS4 would have. it was during the last 30 seconds.

out of curiosity....what not the legacy GT?
seems like a decent car...surprised I don't see more of them.
the only scooby I've driven was a '02 WRX (belonged to my in-laws)...only complaints I had were the appalling quality of the interior materials and too much slack in the drivetrain.
