Default Water Wetter, 85% Water, and 15% G12? Will those work everyone?

I know there have been some discussions before, I searched and read, but I still have questions.

I want to use Water Wetter in my 08' v10 S6 to help reduce some of the hotspots in my engine that we suspect is contributing to the retarded timing.

So here goes, Redline says that even in the summer to use 85% water, 15% antifreeze, and Water Wetter on a street car, not 100% water + WW.

Then I read that our cars use G12, and somewhere I read that G12 is incompatible with WW. So what's the verdict?

Will 15% G12, Water, and WW work?

thanks

(posting on RS4 form because S6 forum people tend not to be into tuning or performance...)

The most heat conductive mixture is a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water

Default I tried it in my R32 and it's USELESS. Official Volkswagen/Audi coolant (G12) has all of the good...

...components of water-wetter already anyway.
Maybe you should try not running the air conditioner to keep engine temps down? (press ECON)

Default IRC water tranfers heat better, but at the expense of...

lubrication, corrosion, boiling point, and freezing point.

Default You are right - it's the boiling point that is changed

I was talking with Mark the other day and NASA cars that do wheel to wheel racing are not allowed to use antifreeze.

Link

Default Getting 111 degrees celcius on dyno and 108 degrees on road...

Pulling timing....

Default I used to do a lot of drag racing and water + water-wetter was the ticket

of course we ran lower thermostats and programmed our own chips to make it all work together. Most guys have no idea how important a cool-running motor is to a low ET.

Default At full throttle, A/C will kick itself off anyway...

Heck, if you are that concerned about a loss of acceleration, its amazing you even let your wife ride with you in the car. Can she take her purse or does that have to stay at home?
