Default We had freezing rain here Sat. morning and I had to go into work, made it all the way to my

workplace parking lot without a problem then hit a little patch of black ice. I was barely going 10mph but the car slid sideways into a curb. Bent one wheel and some front suspension damage, not sure how much yet. Car is at the local Audi dealer. They gave me a new Mazda 6 as a loaner, it gets me around but I sure miss my RS4. Also the winter wheels that I had on it are no longer made, so looks like I'll be needing 4 new wheels instead of 1.

Ugh sorry to hear that. Have been contemplating buying a cheap 4wd for snowy/icy days when "I don't want to bend my RS4". Maybe an old Defender or Jeep.

Default I know some can be repaired, there is a place locally, I'll have them look at it but the rim is

cracked pretty bad. I was surprised that the tire didn't go flat. It was the front rim and it was barely rubbing on something so I switched it with the back one and I was able to limp the car into the Audi dealer. You can clearly see the wheel is displaced backward about an inch. I wasn't moving very fast in a parking lot but thats the first time I really felt like the car weighs 4K lbs, when it was all sliding toward the curb almost in slow motion and there was nothing I could do. The car handled superbly all the way to that point. I was able to drive to work on the expressway no problem and saw 8 vehicles in the ditch on the way, 7 of thems SUV's.

Default Thought about that too but felt then I would be driving a less safe vehicle to protect my nice safe

car, would rather protect myself, can replace the car.

Default What kind of winter wheels - some of us might be interested in stocking a spare

For example, several of us run 5-spoke 18" Italias that are discontinued.

Default SSR comp, used them on a B5S4 and an A6 before the RS4 so got a lot of use out of them.
