Well this is it, should I buy it? 2008 RS4 Brand New $63k
I started my search/evaluation looking at several possibilities - 08 RS4, 08 S6, 08 C63 AMG, 08 M3 sedan, even low mileage 03 RS6.
I narrowed down to the 08 RS4 or 08 C63 AMG. Both great cars for different reasons, I have really been torn between the two.
I have the opportunity to buy the RS4 brand new in the color of my choice for $63k. It's only about $7k less than what the C63 AMG would cost, so I guess I shouldnt consider cost part of the equation. However, I can't help but feel like I am getting a GREAT deal on the RS4...almost $11k off MSRP. Granted, maybe the MSRP was inflated to start with, but I see lots of used RS4s on the market priced more than what this new car would cost.
Anyone else out there on the fence between C63 AMG and RS4?

have you driven each of them?
haven't driven the c63, but it's safe to say it feels vastly different from the rs4. i would make sure you drive each one before deciding. there are plenty of new 08 rs4's throughout the country all going for 63-66. local dealer has 7 and they can't even sell one for 62.7. so while you do have a good deal there it's not the only one.
for a number of reasons i got rid of my 08 rs4 yesterday. it's a great car, but wasn't right for me. whatever you choose you can't really go wrong. personally out of the two i would get the c63 for many reasons. i won't bore anyone with the reasons though.

I have driven both...although only a short test drive in each case. here are my current thoughts:
RS4 - Understated, love the design inside and out, Quattro, enough power for the street, involving, somewhat unique, good pricing... wish it had DSG because as a daily driver I think that the stick will get old
C63 AMG - in your face, muscle car, crazy torque, almost too much for the street, maybe not the safest vehicle with traction problems, skinny tires, etc...hate the Nav screen setup, otherwise nice interior, huge depreciation hit from paying full MSRP, probably 9-10 MPG realisticaly, but would never lose a stoplight race

Mind sharing where you found that deal?
I saw your other threads but curious where you are going to wind up buying. I am trying to decide myself (RS4, E60 M5, E90 M3) and very close to pulling the trigger on the RS4. Dealers far more stubborn on price out here (Denver) on RS4s unfortunately...
