What do you all think of this......
I'm looking into it. Need a way to interface video feed to work with OEM NAV screen<ul><li><a href="http://www.cvs.flir.com/docs/CVS/Market_Spaces/Vehicles/Documents/Vehicles_PathFindIR_Datasheet.pdf">click here for info</a></li></ul>

looked into this pretty heavily
For a while, I wanted to do the FLIR into my next car. I mainly liked the FLIR since they are the guys that are providing the camera for the BMWs that it from the factory. FLIR also provides the system that most police forces use on their helicopters.
Anyway, to integrate it with the RNS-E there are two options, both of which are regulars on navplus.us. The guy that appears to have more stock / sales these days is proxus.

One thing that I was thinking may be a problem is the position of the integrated nav for actual driving. I don't even like looking that low for nav, and for driving, I dunno. I was thinking of using some universal vent mounts from here:

And then putting an additional screen up. I did this in my E46 M3s... I used a portable media player (archos 704) attached to the vent mount for long drives. The archos does take NTSC in, so that would make it an interesting combo. Videos during the day, monitor for the FLIR at night. Plus mounting it up by the vents makes it easier to glance at.
One thing to note, Alex Roy does NOT use the FLIR.

He uses this:
L-3 Communications NightDriver thermal camera (Front Bumper Mounted) w/2x Alpine 7" LCD dash-mouted displays
But then again, I'm not sure I would trust him. He uses Blinder M40s instead of Laser Interceptors, and he uses a BCT8 instead of a BCT15.

I did the video in motion coding and got the adapter....
You would just need to wire power to it, select tv mode and you are all set.
