Default I've had it on 3 of my cars and love it.

Being on the coast, it's the only protection from the constant sand-blasting that we get when driving. I also found that the film is quite tolerant of detailing with a Porter Cable polisher.

Very worth it. This is my 3rd car with it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Default dealership BS.

one of my neighbors is a sales manager at a car dealership...he told me they put it on all their new cars, whether the customer agrees to pay for it or not. not sure if that's the case at your particular dealership, but on more than one occasion, I've had a salesperson ask me if I wanted it (for $200 or whatever the cost). I always decline, and occasionally they'll say "oh, this car already has the paint protection applied"...oh well, I guess you're giving it to me for free then.

Default if you regularly hand wash and wax your car (every few months) and garage it, i can't see...

...why you'd need it.

altho if you're not into the DIY cleaning and waxing, it might be a benefit. honestly never tried it. i do know that many detailers hate teh stuff cuz they have to cut thru it before they can work their magic, depending on the product.

ask kimchee in PacNW forum, or AWOT.

Default The reason I have it is for chips and road debris, you actually still need to wash and wax clear...

bra to keep it protected just like your paint. Otherwise it will turn yellow over time and lose it's shine.

As far as detialing a car with clear bra, the shops that work with it tape up the edges before any wax etc is done.

Here you can see a F40 taped up.

Default TO CLARIFY: You're talking about clear bra and not some Dealer BS "rust protectant" type gimmick...
