Wouldn't it be better / easier to remove the sidemarker and paint off the car?

Getting these things out in the RS4 is FAR more complicated than it might appear. If you undo the fender well liner and look inside, you'll see what I mean. Especially on the driver side. You basically have to dismantle the entire front end to get to these things. Didn't want to do that and didn't want to pay to have it done.

I've had either no reflector or clear reflectors on every car since 1993 with no problems. Anyway, if it is a problem, it is an easy fix. Simply get some tape over the painted reflector area and adhere another reflector.
