What oil should I use?
I heard something about FSI motors needing 0W-40 or something. No idea, but I haven't been through the manual to find out what to pickup a case of.
(On my R32 I've used Mobil1 5W-40 religiously, but that's not an FSI motor.)

M1 5w-40? It's rated for diesels in the US.

OCI is more improtant than kind if going with an approved high quality synthetic...
Use any of the good ones...
M1 0w-40
Motul 0w-40 (soon to be replaced by a motul 5w-30)
Castrol Syntec 5w-40
Those are just a few examples. Stick with an approved oil and this way when you bring your oil in for dealership visits they wont have a problem using it and won't make note you are using a non-approved one.

Great on salads, too!
But all kidding aside, you might read your manual and search the archives. And, all Audi approved oils are not created equal.
