Default What should i use to get some marks out...

My hose from my vacume was rubbing against the side of my car while i was vacuuming it today and it left some marks on the paint. I used detailers spray to get it out but it didn't work. What should i use? Wax? Polish? Thanks...

Default Meguiars Scratch-X if there is anything other than hose residue

otherwise, clay should work well

clay bar removes fallout/overspray/etc, not scratches.

Default 3M swirl mark remover (dark colored version) would probably work also.

I don't especially like that product for large areas, but for smaller spots it's ok.

Default yes. you are correct. They were called "marks", indicating that they are surface marks...

and not scratches.

For marks like he described clay bar is the best first option. If there is scratching involved then the aggressiveness of the treatment would have to be increased.
